FITUR Madrid: Puerto Rico Exhibition Experience

The FITUR International Tourism Trade Fair in Madrid is one of the most prestigious events in the global travel industry. For SQM Multimedia Solutions, it was a privilege to support the Puerto Rico stand, transforming a traditional exhibition space into a high-energy, immersive environment that captured the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean.

Working in close collaboration with the 2003 DYLUNIO agency, we delivered a large-scale multimedia ecosystem where light, sound, and motion worked in perfect harmony to engage visitors from every angle.

Technical delivery overview

The sheer scale of this installation required meticulous planning and seamless integration of various audiovisual layers. The setup was designed to create a "total experience," surrounding visitors with dynamic content and crystal-clear sound.

The core infrastructure included:

• LED Surface: Approximately 700m² of high-resolution LED screens, creating a massive digital canvas.
• LED Floor: 240 m² of interactive flooring (P1.29), adding a sense of depth and movement to the entire stand.
• Visual Displays: A network of 40 professional monitors strategically placed for detailed information and wayfinding.
• Lighting & Sound: A synchronized system featuring 60 lighting fixtures and 30 speakers, ensuring a consistent and immersive atmosphere across the pavilion.

BEYOND THE HARDWARE

The project was not just about the numbers; it was about the synergy between technology and space. All visual content was carefully mapped to the expansive LED surfaces, while the soundscape was engineered to provide an engaging backdrop without overwhelming the busy trade fair environment.
