IFA Berlin 2024, held on 6–10 September in Berlin, is one of the world’s most important trade shows for consumer technology and home appliances. Gathering leading brands, innovators, and experts, it’s the global stage for the latest advancements in electronics and future technologies. SQM Multimedia Solutions proudly delivered comprehensive multimedia installations for two flagship booths—Midea and Hisense—showcasing our expertise in large-scale, high-impact event technology.

The Technology Behind the Magic

• Midea Booth
  • Installed 124 m² of LED displays, including Yestech MG6S (standard and corner versions) and flexible Unilumin UPADIV-S panels
  • Managed video production & playback with Blackmagic, Barco, and Resolume media servers
  • Delivered advanced projection mapping using five Christie and Epson 4K laser projectors (short-throw to long-throw)
  • Integrated LD Systems audio for crystal-clear sound coverage
  • Added Prolights Astra Hybrid fixtures to provide dynamic and professional lighting effects tailored for exhibition conditions
• Hisense Booth
  • Featured Unilumin UPADIV LED displays in both flex and standard formats
  • Delivered 18 unique LED installations in various forms: suspended elements, LED columns, and traditional LED walls
  • Designed for maximum versatility and brand storytelling through immersive multimedia

SQM’s Role & Execution

SQM was responsible for end-to-end delivery, including structural rigging, LED setup, projection calibration, lighting and audio integration, and video production. Our team of 44 technicians coordinated all installations, ensuring seamless synchronization across booths and uninterrupted performance throughout the trade show.
